The scariest thing is walking in the dark, no matter how long. It may seem like nonsense to some people, but it really is terrifying. I'm afraid to stay in the dark. Not outside, of course, but at home. In the house, all the doors are closed, and you still have to find the door handles in the dark. And how unsettling when you can fumble for a door in the dark, but not the door handle. It turns out you can't open the door and walk into a room with light, even if you really want to. There is no handle. There is no escape from the darkness. And what's hiding in the dark is even more frightening. I realise there's nothing in the room with me, but when visions appear before my eyes, it's impossible to ignore them. They are always the most terrifying creatures my mind can conjure up, and then not only do I start to worry, but my hands start to shake with fear. And it's always very easy outside, it's much brighter than the buildings. There is never anything outside.
